Rental Agreement

Welcome to Studio M. By renting items from our online store, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully before making a booking. 

 

1. Rental Limits

  • Our rental services are available and limited within Malaysia ONLY.
  • The rental duration is calculated from the Rental Start Date to the Return Date selected at checkout.
  • All items must be returned by the Return Date to avoid late fees.

 

2. Fit Guarantee

  • We do our best to provide accurate sizing and fit information. However, we do not guarantee perfect fit due to the uniqueness of our bodies.

  • Fit-related returns must be reported within 24 hours upon receiving for consideration.

 

3. Payment & Deposits

  • The security deposit is collected upon checkout and refunded (minus the rental fee) upon returning the leotard. 
  • The deposit will be refunded within 5–7 business days after the item is returned and inspected.
  • Late returns, damages, or missing items may result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit.

 

4. Delivery & Return

  • Your rental is inclusive of shipping fees except for express shipping option. 
  • The renter is responsible for returning the item(s) via the return instructions or drop-off method provided by Studio M.

 

5. Return Condition

  • The Renter agrees to handle all items with care to avoid penalties.
  • Studio M provides a standard laundry service for rented items, please do not attempt to wash or clean the items yourself.
  • Alterations or permanent changes are strictly prohibited. Engaging a third-party for modifications will result in the forfeit of your deposit.

 

6. Late Fee

  • Your refundable security deposit will only be refunded once the leotard has been returned and inspected. 
  • You will be charged RM50 per day, for every day until the item has been returned.
  • Late payment penalty will be deducted from the security deposit.

 

7. Damages & Loss of Item

  • If an item is returned with irreversible damage*, Studio M reserves the right to forfeit the security deposit.

 

8. *Definition of 'Damages'

  • Minor wear and tear is normal in the rental process. However, we consider holes and tears as damage, which will be assessed and deducted from the security deposit as follows:
    • Minor falling crystals - Free of Charge
    • Tear of 1cm - RM80
    • Tear of 2cm-4cm and crystal loss of 30% - 50% deposit forfeited
    • Tear 4cm and above - damage beyond repair and full forfeit of the deposit

We do an inspection routine before we return the deposit back to you, and we will notify you of any damages found.

  

9. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Orders cancelled within 1 working day or the same day of booking are eligible for a full refund. 
  • No refunds will be issued after the rental start date.
  • You are eligible to a one-time exchange free of charge, but the return shipping is at your expense. 
  • For exchanges more than once, additional shipping and processing fees will apply.

 

10. Liability Waiver

  • Studio M is not liable for any injuries, allergic reactions, or damages caused by the use or misuse of rented items to the wearer.

 

Studio M reserves the right to update these terms at any time. By using Studio M’s rental service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, from the date your order was placed.
